You may have heard we wrote a book. It’s called Phenom Do (pronounced Phenom Doh).
The title of the book was inspired by the Korean martial art Tae Kwan Do. The word Do in Korean means way or art, and so Phenom Do means “the art of Phenom.”
The premise of the book is this:Implementations of any HR Technology can go sideways and 80% of the pain is usually self-inflicted. If an angry customer cornered me in a dark alley and demanded I tell them how to make their Phenom system work, here is what I would say. First, there are no silver bullets, but there are three things you should do right away:
- Get your data right (if you don't how will you measure success)
- Design for experience first, and compliance second (If it is unusable how will you every be compliant?)
- Dedicate the resources necessary to support the ongoing operation (need I say more?)
